I AM A DIVA

VINTAGE DIVA:
There were/are a group of marvelous, magical women that quietly worked to change their world and outside world. They were beautiful, intelligent, hardworking loving and kind beings. They were the folks that no one noticed but everyone needed. The world would not have run quite as well if they had walked away from their responsibilities. They stayed on their chosen path.

As time worn on, they became noticed. They had wrote poetry, books, painted, sang, danced, taught, worked at small and large companies, raised families, took care of parents, risked their lives for what they believed. They created, inspired, loved, dreamt, believed, explored, wondered, hoped, dared, found adventure, and found peace and joy. They did this with a unique wisdom that is only inside of all women if they would let it out. When they let it out, they become muses for the rest of us still struggling. These uniquely, fabulous women made it possible for everyone to have marvelous magical moments if we only take the time to see what is in front of our faces every day.

The whole idea of "you must never..." and "you must always..." was/is not the path that they walk and that is freedom.

TODAY'S DIVA:
They have some serious life experience behind them. Divas do not suffer fools and are never hesitant to forge ahead when no others would.. Divas are secure in who they are and know what they have to offer in this life. Divas are unable to see the world as mundane. Divas see magic in every thought, every move, every process, every moment. They could not look at life differently if they tried. They are able to finds hidden truths in all things. Also, do not get in her way. Divas love their children and friends greatly and are capable of glorious romances and loving relationships with spouses or partners. Their friendships are deep and abiding, usually with one or two particularly tight bonds and several additional pals in their realm of influence. They do not require validation of themselves from others to feel good about themselves. Through they do enjoy compliments. While their bonds are very close, they are old enough and experienced enough to have dealt with death in a few ways, not just the physical death of others, but the death of friendships, marriages and dreams. They do understand that the people and situations in our life, both precious and challenging, are transient. They are comfortable in their own skins and perceive their lives as blessed, regardless of the external challenges they may face in mundane life. Remember that Divas do not suffer fools lightly and are impatient with manipulators, users, slackers and phonies. You won't see a Diva with a partner who doesn't pull his/her own weight or who is less than respectful on an ongoing basis. Divas are strong, independent, pro-active women who are listened to when they speak, loved for their fiery spirits and respected.

A Diva understands her past, learned from the past and is not fearful because of her past. She has taken responsibility for the life that she has lived and is living. She looks forward to the future with the quietly assured that what ever happens will be for her best. Her faith is solid and she is able to help others through difficult times. She does not panic when adversity appears, she works on the situation until she finds the answer herself to solve the situation. The Diva lives in the present moment because she understands how precious that "now" is to her. Everyday, she finds magic and miracles in all things and is grateful to her deity for each one. There is joy in all things whether it is a small gift from a friend, an act of kindness from a stranger , a wonderful meal or a flower. She enjoys a good laugh and a smile is the best thing to wear. Laugh lines are a thing of beauty because that means you have enjoyed many times and things.. The Diva speaks her mind with confidence, without or pretense. You should never ask for her opinion or advice unless you really what to know what she thinks because she is a straight shooter. She will be honest with you . The Diva is a very private person so there are some parts of her life and heart that are off limits to others in her life. So she is a mystery to those love her.
